Privacy policy
This page covers the Fréquence site and app, in beta. The text is drafted in-house, from our notes. A lawyer reviews it before the public launch.
Who is responsible
The site frequence.live and the app are published under the name Fréquence, in Paris. For a question about your data, write to contact@monozukuri.cloud.
The app’s data is on our server, joinin.monozukuri.cloud. It is a Supabase we host ourselves, on the publisher’s VPS.
The site
- No account on the site.
- No advertising.
- No audience measurement tool.
- No sale of data.
If you leave your address on “Préviens-moi”, it is stored in your browser, on that device only (localStorage). It is not sent to Fréquence. We cannot read it, and we cannot write to you from it.
To erase it, delete this site’s data in your browser.
The host may keep technical logs: IP address, date, page requested, browser type. They are there to run the site and to protect it. They are not used to recognise you from one visit to the next, or to profile you. You can ask for them to be deleted at the address above.
The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser then contacts Google, which may receive your IP address. Their policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
This site does not set a cookie. The form address, if you save it, stays in the browser’s local storage.
The app
Fréquence is for finding a night in Paris and going with a small group. It is not a dating app. The beta is free. No advertising. We do not sell personal data. You have to be 18.
On iPhone, sign-in is with Apple or with Google. On Android, with Google. Both go through Supabase Auth, on our server. No SMS in the beta. No identity-document check. The sign-in session stays on the phone.
Apple and Google receive what that sign-in needs. Their policies: apple.com/legal/privacy, policies.google.com/privacy.
The account
We keep the first name, the birth date, the declared gender, the taste (genres and formats), and the profile photo if you add one.
The birth date is checked at sign-up. Other people see your age, not the date. Gender is used for women-only groups. It is not shown on the profile.
The photo is optional for browsing, and for adding a night. It is required before you join a group, ask to join one, or create one, because people meet in person. By default, the photo stays hidden until you share a group. You can turn that off.
When you use the feature, we also keep: saved nights, groups and requests to join one, the messages you send, friends, reports you file, and notification and privacy settings.
This beta does not send a push notification token. It does not send a crash report.
“Send feedback” stores the message with us. A copy goes to Slack, so the team can read it. Slack’s policy is at slack.com/trust/privacy/privacy-policy.
The app’s host may keep the same technical logs as the site: IP address, date, request, device type. They are there to run the service and to protect it. They are not used to profile you.
Location
The app can ask for an approximate location to show nearby nights on the map. That position stays on the phone. We do not receive it. We do not keep a location history.
Contacts
“Find me from contacts” is off by default. Matching, when it runs, compares hashes. The address book is not sent in clear, and we do not keep it.
Pasted nights
A member can paste a public https link. Our server reads that page. It may copy the poster into public storage (event-images), so the app does not fetch the image from the other site. The text of the page can be sent to OpenAI to fill the draft. Their policy is at openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.
To place a venue on the map, its address can be sent to Google Places. That is not your position.
The person who pastes the link is responsible for having the right to point us at that page. A rights holder can ask us to take the poster down at contact@monozukuri.cloud.
Maps
On Android, the map tiles come from Google Maps. On iPhone, they come from MapKit (Apple). Those two are for the map, and nothing else. They see the area on screen.
Blocks and messages
Blocking someone hides you from each other, both ways. The blocked person is not told.
A group’s room becomes read-only 24 hours after the night ends. You can no longer write in it. It is not where a friendship continues.
What the app measures
The app records, on the phone, nights shown, pages opened, saves, shares, and taps on a ticket link. That log stays on the device. It is included in the export. It is not sent to an ad network or an audience tool. In this beta, it is not sent to our server either.
No marketing profiling.
Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability of the data we actually hold. You can also contact the CNIL, cnil.fr.
In the app, Profile → Your data exports a JSON file: that is access and portability. Edit profile rectifies. Delete account is immediate: the account goes at once. A message already sent in a group can stay in that room, without your name. The photo file can stay in storage until a cleanup. For restriction and objection: Send feedback, or contact@monozukuri.cloud.
The form email never leaves your device: erasure happens on your side. For the server logs, write to us.
Privacy and safety controls are never paywalled.
Minors
The site is about nights out. It is not aimed at children. The app is for people aged 18 and over.
The terms
How the service may be used is in the terms of use.
